With the advent of the New Year, new courses and itinerating schedules to put together, we’ve been thinking much about the calling and commissioning of this ministry. And it has struck us afresh that one of the primary callings of Rivers of Living Water is to raise up anointed prophetic voices, who carry the word of the Lord in their mouths, and who will be used by the Lord to bring healing and revival in the nations.

God is releasing a mighty band of warriors right throughout the earth who will bring cleansing and revival to the hearts of whole nations.

I clearly remember when we took a prophetic team into Northern Ireland in 2007. The spiritual atmosphere was heavy in some areas due to the struggles this country has known over time.

But it was such an enormous blessing for us to go in as a team and see the Lord release His healing, refreshing streams in the hearts of the people. It was like we tapped into a spiritual geyser and the streams of Living Water burst forth into the atmosphere, producing regeneration, life and hope.

This is the Heart of the Prophetic

This is the heart of the prophetic: to release life; the abundant streams of the Lord, that the peoples of the earth might be blessed.

When the streams of life burst forth into a community or a region, then new growth will always be the result. New seeds that have been planted and sown, will spring forth and new life will be the result.

When a prophetic ministry leaves an area or a region, the spiritual atmosphere never ever returns to how it used to be. The prophetic is a catalyst that not only releases encouragement and hope, but sets new things in motion.

The Prophetic Revives and Activates

The prophetic revives and it activates. The ground that once seemed to stagnate now bursts forth with new vigor and life.

To revive something is to return it to life, consciousness, vigor, strength or a flourishing condition (dictionary.com).

The prophetic will always trigger renewed momentum in the hearts and lives of people, and even in whole communities and nations.

The release of the prophetic creates life, because prophetic words that spring forth from the counsels of heaven, carry life upon them. and are a vehicle upon which the divine counsels and plans of God are carried forth to germinate in the earth.

I also remember a time where we were walking seemingly through the valley of the shadow of death. Our son and daughter were walking a treacherously dangerous path, and the enemy tried several times to snuff out their lives. They weren’t walking with the Lord at that time, and the enemy thought they were fair game.

We thought differently, and we knew God thought differently about them too. So we used the spiritual weapons at our disposal to annihilate the works of the enemy in our family.
