Whose hearts have been completely undone by
Him...

PROPHETIC ENCOUNTERby Kerrie Christensen

As a prophetic person, you will see with the eyes of your spirit, events and happenings down through the
corridor of time, before they ever take place. Those things at that time will seem more real to you than even the natural, physical world around you. God has given you a glimpse into the future - the way that He sees it. How cool is that?

God places within your spirit at strategic times, a sense; a knowing; a Divine knowing, of things yet to come. It’s like a glimpse into the huge heart of God; into His plans; His designs; His purposes, and you see things momentarily, just the way that He sees them.

The things which are revealed to you prophetically, belong to you, but very often, must be appropriated by faith. God showed us well ahead of time the Prophetic Schools that we would run both here and in other nations. We could see the schools with the eyes of our spirit. We even knew what the curriculum would look like. God showed us ahead of time, what He had already known throughout the eternity of the eternities. Our responsibility then simply became, to walk out the story by faith. We were on a heavenly pilgrimage designed for us by God Himself. What an exciting existence!

Called to Live a Prophetic Lifestyle

I believe that we, as believers, are called to live a Prophetic lifestyle. We are called to ‘Live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.’ (Deut 8:4). The words that the Lord speaks to us are spirit and life, and those words will perform the very thing that God sent them to perform in our lives. We simply have to walk out our journey with faith and patience, keeping our eyes on the Lord, until the promise comes to pass.

In the place of Prophetic encounter, God will show you the road map for your life. And very often, this happens when you’re walking through the worst
wilderness imaginable. Just when you think you couldn’t take it any longer, God steps in, and whispers to you the very dreams and secrets of His heart.

In the Place of Prophetic Encounter - Hagar

Hagar was a young, very pregnant girl, victimised and harshly treated by her mistress Sarai, so much so, that she flees into the desert; a place of
wilderness. In the hour of her direst need, the angel of the Lord pursues her, and speaks to her of things yet to come. ‘Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand. I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.’

Hagar came face to face with the ‘Living One who sees me.’ Don’t you just love the suddenlies of God? One moment, everything is looking bleak and glim.

In the very next breath, God is speaking to you those wonderful words of life. He speaks prophetically of things of promise; things full of life; good things; things He’s destined for you since before the beginning of time. How awesome is God?

Hagar would never ever be the same again. They say, ‘One touch from God can change your life forever’, and it’s true. Hagar was no longer just a rejected, forlorn maid with nowhere else to go. She was one who carried a son who would become the father of a great nation.

In the place of encounter, the Lord will reveal to you the very secrets of His heart. Vision is renewed and fresh courage is received for the journey set before you. God knows the beginning from the end. He knows what the next advent of your journey will look like, and He knows exactly how to prepare you for what’s up ahead.

In the Place of Prophetic Encounter - Elijah

Elijah in the book of 1 Kings, finds himself at the mercy of the evil, wicked tyrant, Queen Jezebel, slayer of the prophets. He too, like Hagar, finds himself staggering wearily in a wild, wildnerness land. As Elijah reaches the point of desperation, who should turn up? None other than the angel of the Lord, who provides food and
sustenance for Elijah’s onward journey.

In the place of Prophetic encounter, God will provide sustenance and nourishment for your onward journey.

Elijah finally reaches Mount Horeb, the Mount of God, and the Lord speaks courage to the anxious forebodings of his heart. ‘You are not alone Elijah. There are 700 others who I have kept for
myself who haven’t bowed the knee to Baal. Now go and anoint
Hazael King of Syria, Jehu King of Israel, and Elisha as prophet in your place.’

Vision Expanded

In the place of Prophetic Encounter, God will realign your heart to see how things really are. So often we live way, way below where God destined us to live. We so often live out of the ‘littleness’ of our own hearts, not understanding orperceiving the ‘largeness’ of the plan that God has for us. We often try to squeeze God into the tiny little perceptions of our own minds, when God is just waiting for us to bust out of our ‘pint sized thinking’ to experience the
largeness and the bigness of His great heart.

The place of Prophetic Encounter opens up whole new vistas to your heart. New realms of possibility beckon you and draw you forward into the purposes of God. All you need do is simply say, ‘Yes Lord, I come.’
